!the BIGGUN hates YOU!

2003 counts as the future, right?

I mean, if I were to travel back in time to sometime back in the day and tell someone that I am from the year 2003, wouldn't they ask if there are flying cars?

Here's an example of what the conversation might be like:
"Hey, man.. I'm from the year 2003."
"Holy shit! Are there flying cars??"
"NO! No there aren't any flying cars!"
"What the hell? How about robot maids?"
"NO!!"
And then I would storm away angrily.

Like the subject in my example conversation, I too am confused by the lack of flying cars and robot maids.

In every one of those oldschool films from the 50s that depict the future, there are flying cars and robot maids and houses that clean themselves and we don't have any of that.

Personally, I'm disappointed. I've been wanting a flying car since childhood and despite my fear of super-intelligent evil robots, I need someone or something to clean my house so I don't have to. A human maid would cost more money than a robot maid in the long run.

What the hell kind of future is this!?
